Happy April!  Spring is definitely in the air as you can see the different patio furniture in the stores and the garden goodies on sale! All the sports are in full gear. My family’s calendar is full of baseball practices and games … not to mention piano lessons and recitals.  Ugh, there is just not enough room for all the activities!  But Saturday mornings are always reserved for Chinese School.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Holiday and is ready to learn Chinese!   

We have a board meeting tomorrow.  If you are interested in learning more about becoming a board member, please come join us.  If you are interested in helping our school by becoming the next Principal, Vice Principal, Secretary or Treasurer, come talk to us so you can get a general idea of how exciting and rewarding these positions are.  We look forward to having more new parents join us.  We understand that everyone has a busy life, so we often have two people sharing the same position.  For example, we have two co-Vice Principals and two co-Treasurers.

I have received several inquiries from parents about summer programs and I will be sharing them as I get any information.  One parent is asking if anyone knows of a math tutor for his 2^nd grade daughter who loves math.  Let me know if you know of any tutors or summer programs that have fun math activities.

The ACS is hosting its annual Speech Contest at our school on May 4^th.  I would like to encourage students to participate.  More details to come.
