Fall SAT Prep Class Registration
The Northern Westchester Chinese School is offering a 10-week SAT Prep course beginning September 21, 2013. Classes will be held at the Briarcliff Middle School (located at 444 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor) on Saturday mornings: Session 1 from 9:30AM – 10:30AM; Session 2 from 11:10AM -12:10PM. Enrollment is limited.

6/1 OPEN HOUSE — Come and See
NWCS will host an Open House on Saturday, June 1, from 10AM-12PM at the Briarcliff Middle School (located at 444 Pleasantville Road, Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510). We offer language classes PK thru Grade12 and a variety of Chinese cultural electives – painting, calligraphy, origami, dance, chess, martial arts, SAT Prep and more. All are welcomed. Spring SAT Prep Class
The Northern Westchester Chinese School is partnering with Ivy Labs to offering a 10-week SAT Prep course beginning March 2, 2013. Classes will be held at the Briarcliff Middle School on Saturday mornings from 11AM -12PM. Enrollment is limited.
If there is enough interest, we may also offer a separate Verbal Skills and Math Skills workshop.

NWCS Year-End Picnic on June 16th
We are happy to invite you, your family and friends to the NWCS Year-End Picnic on June 16th.
What better way to celebrate the last day of classes than enjoying outdoor fun and games and great food, all in the company of your NWCS family! We also have some friendly competitions planned so you may want to bring a towel and a spare t-shirt ☺.
TICKETS will be on sale this Saturday in the Cafeteria.
Volunteers are NEEDED to either buy/prepare food, organize games or bring in games/equipment such as balls, tug-of-war rope, etc.. Please let me know if you can help.
College Planning Seminar and SAT Prep Course

We will be offering a free College Planning Seminar on Saturday, March 10 from 9AM to 11AM at the Briarcliff Middle School Little Theater.
Ms. Alice Sun, Founder and Director of Ivy Labs Education, an education consulting firm, will be presenting its College Consultation Program as well its SAT Program and Summer School Program for American students in China. The seminar will highlight their 10 Point System for admissions regarding extracurricular enhancement, school selection, recommendation letters, essays, financial aid, waitlist strategies, and enrollment.
As a tenured teacher, counselor, entrepreneur, and social leader with expertise in bicultural and bilingual educational design, Alice Sun has significant experience in both English and Mandarin language instruction, preparation for SSAT, SAT, and TOEFL exams, and admissions counseling for independent high schools and universities. She specifically focuses on coaching and preparing students for top Ivy League school placement from an early age.
Note that this seminar is also available to people outside of the NWCS community. Seating is limited so please arrive early.
In addition, NWCS and Ivy Labs have teamed up to offer a 10-week pilot SAT Prep course beginning March 17 running through June 2. It will be offered during our 3rd hour from 11AM to 12PM. We are planning on a small class of 6 – 10 students. Enrollment will be limited. The cost for the class will be $325 (including materials). NWCS students will receive a discounted price of $275.
